The Bede BD-5 family started as a tiny recreational plane with a single pusher-prop. While waiting for engine issues to be resolved, the aircraft was trialled with a small jet engine, an experiment that had remarkable results. The BD-5J was featured in the opening sequence of the James Bond movie 'Octopussy'.
